Happy Birthday GiGi!

Growing up and going to school, I listened to everyone complain about their parents and every time the conversation turned to me, I would simply say that I couldn’t relate. Aside from a rough patch the summer before high school, mom and I have been practically inseparable.

Now, I don’t mean inseparable in the sense that I wasn’t 18 and was stuck. No, even now at almost 21 and married, she is still my go-to. My mother has helped me through every hard time I have ever been through. She has always told me when I was making a wrong decision, and supported me when I made the decision anyways and fell on my ass.

My mother is absolutely one of the strongest people I have ever known. From working two and three jobs, to staying strong through catastrophic life events, I have very rarely seen her break.

She always managed to make three snack plates turn into seven when she saw all the neighborhood kids walking down our street with us after school. No matter the occasion, no matter how many extra people we brought home, she always made sure we had what we needed. She has always went above and beyond for my brothers and I. Way more than we could have asked her to.

I never say “thank you” enough. But how can you really ever thank someone like her enough?

Happy birthday mommy. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you have done and still do for this family. I love you!
