Good Morning! It’s Shining!

I just wanted to wish everyone a good morning! It is sad to think of how many people do not hear those words. Everyone is just rushing by or they are unable to leave their homes without assistance and they just sit and remember a time when they heard these sweet words from a partner, their child, or their own parents.

Every morning, I hear the words “Good morning! It is shining!” I wonder if there will ever be a day that I, too, will sit by a window and wonder if anyone will take the time to say good morning. I do not worry much about this because I am blessed with an amazing family who embraces the generational lifestyle. We watch out for one another in a way that boosts our spirits and lets us know we are valued. But how many people do not have this security? Perhaps even yourself. But, if you are lucky enough to hear these words this morning, share them with someone else. Call your mother or your child and let them know that the world is shining! Post to an old friend or actually look up at the man or woman who is ringing in your coffee and say “good morning.”

It only takes a second but it could change someone’s day. It could change how they see themselves. Hell, it could change how you see yourself as well!

Spread the shine!
