Regina aka “Gigi” and daughter, Ashley, aka “Mommy” have found ourselves looking for positivity in the face of negative situations only to find that few uplifting and positive outcomes are reported without either A). leaving out the negative moments or B). ending the story at the moment the chaos is over. For us, the chaos continues and yet, instead of hiding from it, sugar coating it, or dismissing it, we have decided to embrace it and share this journey of life shaping chaos so that others may also see that the light is not at the end of the tunnel but rather the light illuminates the darkness.
Gigi is a 39-year-old mother of 3, Damion (22), Ashley (20), and Zachary (18). Yes, the ages are correct so you can count on teen mothering advice at some point. Gigi has four grandchildren Gloria (2), Clarabelle (2), Elliott (19 months), and Braxton (16 months). Gloria and Braxton are Damion’s children and Elliott and Clarabelle belong to Ashley. Gigi is close to her mother who lives nearby who will be referred to, lovingly, as “Nanny Batman.” Gigi has a bachelor’s degree in humanities and works from home as a freelance academic writer.
Mommy is a 20-year-old single mother of 2, Clarabelle and Elliott, but hopes to increase that number significantly. She is currently dating a gentleman in the United States Marine Corps making it a long distance relationship. They pass their time finding, making, or purchasing little reminders for each other which will provide a great deal of her content. At the age of 20, Mommy has faced many challenges that are beyond the scope of most people’s imagination. It is her hope that her ability to find a way to move forward with her life and her children will inspire others to do the same.
